Caustic Soda Lye

Caustic Soda Lye

Inorganic Chemical Solution
Caustic soda lye is an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide with the chemical formula NaOH. It is a clear, colorless to slightly hazy liquid that is highly alkaline and corrosive in nature. The solution generates heat when diluted with water.

It is produced by dissolving caustic soda flakes in water or directly obtained from the chlor-alkali process. Caustic soda lye is widely used in chemical processing, soap and detergent manufacturing, textiles, water treatment, alumina production, and petroleum refining.
